1. My living room is currently filled with live vines and tall ladders --we're in the process of draping the vines on monofilament threads, which are attached to ceiling. About half the room has happy, photosynthesizing leaves craning around to get more sun from the skylights. The other half has droopy vines strewn over every available surface because the vine-tender's arms got tired. They too are going up today. *edit ... yay, done!!!*
2. Stories I understood one way as a kid generally stay that way in my mind until something else challenges them. Example: Kaa in the Disney version of The Jungle Book was one of my favorite characters. I loved his endless coils, quiet nerve, and super-powered eyes. Recently, I read that some people interpreted him as a pedophile, and was genuinely surprised. In retrospect, I can see where they're coming from ... but at the time, I didn't know what a pedophile was. What I learn changes my perceptions of what I know; but for some reason, old fiction doesn't go through the same revisions.
3. My eyes focus at different distances.
4. Continents I haven't visited yet: Africa, Australia, and Antarctica.
5. I stopped watching television when I went to college, and haven't looked back since. I get all my news through a combination of original sources, science articles, and the internet.
6. I have used the phrase "Yes, I am an agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial" in (semi)-serious conversation. For the record, though, I'm a sarcastic atheist.
7. Though I haven't practiced in years, my grandfather taught me to throw knives when I was six. My mother was less than thrilled --mostly because grandpa's knives were as long as my forearm. But as long as I kept the cats out of the way, she didn't object.
8. My upper body is considerably stronger than my lower body.
9. El pilon ... tranlsation, the freebie
I tag:
EDIT: Yakushi--Kabuto would prefer not to be tagged (at least, that's how I'm interpreting "tags are the devil"). I don't entirely understand the sentiment. It should go without saying that neither he nor anyone else is obligated to do this. Because he specifically objected, though, I'm taking him off the list. He's still an exceptional artist, and everyone should check out his page, here:

Anyway. Life has not calmed down one iota since Nathaniel and I moved last summer. New things just keep cropping up, just when everything else seems to settle in. Right now we're packing for another move, and Nathaniel is looking for jobs. Things are stressful but we're still happy. What's been going on on your end of things?
